Defining the Problem

Problem statement:

As a customer, I can’t find the information I need to consider purchasing CloudM’s products.

What's not working?

The existing website was cluttered and content heavy, consisting of a library of text heavy pages which weren't visually engaging. There was also a lack of branding and personality, with no clear conversion journeys for users.

Who are we designing for?

I led two workshops with client stakeholders, a Goals & Metrics session to define the key user personas we wanted to target and a Blueprint workshop to build out detailed customer journey maps. This helped to determine the key user pain points and potential opportunities for a new and improved website.

We were able to define user needs, motivations and frustrations as well as highlight the information architecture which was vital to convert visitors into leads.

Design

Giving the brand a refresh

We wanted to give CloudM a more engaging and dynamic look to help it stand out amongst more muted competitors. Introducing a more own-able visual language through bespoke iconography and graphics would help give more personality and credibility to the brand within it's sector.

Website

A component based approach was used to design the site in order to accommodate for future product and feature releases. There was also an emphasis on CRO journeys to increase user education which would result in increased customer inquiries and conversions.

Impact

As well as a new website, multiple branding assets were produced for CloudM to use across physical and online channels. This included; social media assets, exhibition stands, illustration gallery and presentation & document templates, all of which were presented in a new Brand Guidelines document.

"We’re so pleased that our brand, and our website, have been updated to align with CloudM’s growth as a business and we are delighted to have worked with the Fat Media team on this".
